“Just wanted to drop you a quick message to say how much we enjoyed our stay at the west wing. Everything we could have wished for to make it a wonderful relaxing week”.

Quiet and Tranquil

“Beautiful property and so quiet and tranquil, the trees and surrounding area is just stunning, the property inside is really pretty and has everything you need, we cooked every night and had everything we required, the en-suite to main bedroom is lovely and the shower is amazing, beautiful fluffy towels and the bedding is just so snuggly, just what we all needed”.

A very enjoyable stay

“The beds and bedding were the most comfortable I have ever slept in and coupled with the quiet I had the best sleep ever. The Granary was exceptionally clean and I particularly liked the wall art. Communication from the owners was very good and the fresh flowers and homemade cake on arrival were delightful. Parking was easy and convenient and it was a very cosy and comfortable stay. We were visiting relatives and we will definitely stay here again”.

A beautiful place to stay

“A beautiful place to stay. Everything well thought out to make your stay comfortable. On arrival a lovely cake, dog treats, freshly picked flowers, milk and tea & coffee - a really lovely touch. The games room was a real hit and much fun had. The paddock was perfect for taking the dogs to stretch their legs. The beds were really comfortable. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. This is definitely somewhere we would like to stay again”.

Lovely Walks

“A great place to stay with amazing views. The grounds are extensive providing lovely walks. The property is in a great location providing a central base to explore. The Story of Emily is an historical attraction nearby and is a must see when staying here”.

Centrally Located

“A fabulous set of holiday cottages in a wonderfully rural, peaceful setting. Well catered for with everything you'd need and highly comfortable and clean with highly welcomed added extras needed on arrival, milk tbags, home baked cake, loo rolls. Would highly recommend for being centrally located for North and South coasts”.

Serious relaxation in a tremendous setting

“Beautiful accommodation, and a very warm welcome, dog friendly, comfy beds, if I could move in permanently, I would! Wonderful home-made mince pies to welcome us and festive decoration to make a cosy Christmas.

Exceptional

“We booked three cottages for a big family break. All three properties were exceptional. They were spotless, comfortable and really homely. Dolly was a fantastic host, so friendly and helpful. We contacted Dolly in advance to ask if one of the cottages would be able to accommodate all 13 of us to eat together. Dolly arranged for us to stay in Lambs Barn & Tor View which had interconnecting doors. Tor View Cottage had a table big enough to seat all of us. So this worked really well. We appreciated the delicious home-made cakes, milk and fresh cut flowers from the garden. We thought the cottages and surroundings were beautiful and we highly recommend staying here.”

Perfectly idyllic

“Idyllic, peaceful location, perfect place to spend a week relaxing and unwinding. In a peaceful countryside setting, yet close enough to the A30 to drive wherever you like on a day out. Dog friendly with a safe enclosed field to allow them to run around freely and added touch of treats for them on arrival!”

A fabulous fabulous place

“What a fabulous fabulous place to come for a holiday. So incredibly relaxing and owners were just fantastic from the initial enquiry right through to us going home. The property was even better than how good it looked on the photos. We so appreciated the cake when we arrived too that Dolly brought for us, though it was so scrummy it didn't last long :-). Everything you need for a great holiday (all those little touches you didn't know you wanted) and a brilliant base for exploring north to mid Cornwall or south Devon. Would give 6 stars if we could.”

Everything we needed and more

“We had a lovely stay in Lambs Barn. It is a beautiful cosy cottage. It was equipped with everything we needed and more. The beds were very comfy with nice plump pillows and duvets. We loved the games room and used it several times. The outside seating area and bbq was also much appreciated. Dolly was a great hostess and was on hand if needed. We would definitely recommend staying here!”

First Time Visiting Cornwall

“Perfect week here. The accommodation was spacious with every thing you need. The surrounding area was wonderful and super safe for our toddler and dog...we enjoyed exploring the river and park! The owners were super friendly and welcoming really couldn't ask for more! It was my first time visiting Cornwall and won't be my last!”

Happy Birthday Flag

“Everything was perfect for our first family trip to Cornwall! Although the cottages themselves are slightly out of the way of the popular spots such as St Ives, Newquay and Padstow - the town of Launceston is beautiful in its own right and if you’re willing to drive to the more popular destinations, it isn’t an issue! The park and games room on site was the highlight of our children’s stay and really helped break up the days with little ones. The park can be viewed from the cottages too for even further piece of mind! There was coffee, tea, fresh cake and fresh flowers on arrival which really set the tone for a lovely holiday. The cottage was clean, well presented and well equipped for a stay away. I even managed to make a dint in my holiday washing with having the washing machine and a few washing pods already in the cottage. All neighbours were lovely and the area was peaceful and quiet too. What topped it off for us personally was the ‘happy birthday’ flag floating outside of the cottage for my daughter’s 8th birthday whilst we were staying at Trevadlock - which was all down to the hosts and their thoughtfulness! I would definitely recommend to anyone and would definitely return.”

Heavenly

“Our stay in the west wing of Trevadlock Manor was heavenly. The restored manor is beautiful and comfortable, set in a surrounding of acres of tranquil farm land and the owners welcomed us with a homemade cake, fabulous displays of flowers from their garden and they ran up my wife’s national flag when they found out where she was from. The facilities are fantastic and you’ll want for nothing - we’ll definitely be going back.”

We loved it

“We loved it, it was perfect for a family holiday with lots of walks on the grounds as well as plenty of places to visit, Central to everywhere, kind and friendly owners plenty of grounds to walk around and explore.”

Felt welcome and at home

“Dolly and her husband have an amazing thing here.
They were so welcoming to my family and I. The house is stunning, and the surroundings really are something special.  I felt that Dolly bent over backwards to make our stay super special.
My family and I would 100% visit again! This was a perfect place to stay and with meeting Dolly and her husband we really felt welcome and at home. Thank you so much!”

English countryside

“This place is a pure and typical example of English countryside. Everything inside is nice, tidy and cosy. We had the pleasure to discover a cake crafted by Dolly at our arrival, which was delicious and more than welcome after a long journey. The garden is huge but well maintained and filled with awesome surprises for children. We would come back with no hesitation!”

Home from Home

“First class booking procedure; friendly welcome; luxurious accommodation; beautiful location. The West Wing in particular is a haven of peace, tranquility and charm. The amenities are modern and well equipped. The kitchen and bathroom facilities are modern. The beds are supremely comfortable. The site is quiet and the views are sensational. In short, perfect for a relaxing stay.”

Would love to come back

“It was lovely of Dolly to leave us a homemade victoria sponge. She also took the time to say hello to us in person and check we had all we needed, which was a nice touch. Homely, comfortable and well decorated barn conversion - we had everything we needed and more (even a games room with a pool and table tennis table!). Would love to come back 😊”

Wonderful setting for a family break exploring Cornwall

“Wonderful setting for a family break. Accommodation was lovely, clean and fresh. Games room was a blessing for the kids. Welcome cake went down well and was a lovely treat to go with the tea/coffee and pint of fresh milk waiting in the fridge on arrival. Super easy access to the A30 which made exploring Cornwall that much easier. Would book again”.

Blanket for our Dog

“What a brilliant week we have had. Gorgeous cottage, surroundings and very quiet. Dolly was very accommodating, very yummy cake left for our arrival, comfortable beds, hot showers, superfast WiFi, a lovely blanket left for our dog along with some treats. Felt very comfortable and relaxed while here. We will definitely be returning in the future.
Thank you for such a lovely stay”.

Ria

Friendly, caring and thoughtful

“Just back from a week here. Beautiful place with character and stunning views. Peaceful, but rest of Cornwall easily accessible. Ideal for all ages and also welcome dogs. Owners are friendly, caring and thoughtful, on hand as needed. Warm welcome and also took the time to wish my son happy birthday and us all a safe journey home. Would recommend to anyone wanting to visit this lovely county and looking to stay somewhere quiet and relaxing where nature and the changing seasons can be really appreciated. Thank you Dolly and David”.
